Filled: HOUSING SUPPORT WORKER:  Non-profit housing agency seeks experienced full-time Housing Support Worker to provide supportive services for persons with severe and persistent mental illness in Lake County.  Duties include reporting requirements, direct service standards, completing annual recertifications and inspections for program compliance. Successful candidate will engage persons to obtain/maintain housing by teaching skills necessary for persons to be good tenants and productive community members. Flexible hours and some evening meetings may be required.  Valid driver’s license, computer literate, BA in social service or related field/LSW preferred, prior experience working with mentally disabled and homeless population preferred.

Filled: RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR:  Non-profit housing agency seeks full-time employee. The Resource Development Coordinator (RDC) must be a sophisticated relationship-builder who is able to adapt his or her communication style to work effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders with multiple priorities, including the Executive Director, Board of Directors and other members of the senior leadership team, as well as a very diverse set of fund development prospects. The RDC will create new resources, including partnerships that increase the assets of Extended Housing and market Extended Housing’s services to donors, foundations, corporations, professional advisors and others.  The RDC will be detail oriented; social media savvy, possess strong organizational, computer and writing skills, and have experience in event planning and public speaking.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Passion and commitment to Extended Housing’s mission to support individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to live as independently as possible by creating, developing and sustaining safe decent affordable housing options.
  • Excellent judgment and initiative; strategic thinker; enthusiastic and entrepreneurial.
  • Demonstrated success in networking to build creative and mutually beneficial business relationships within the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors.
  • Track record of working with corporate, foundation, individual, and government sources; proven ability to expand and cultivate donor relationships over time.
  • Strategic, analytical approach combined with professionalism and charisma.
