Extended Housing Welcomes New Board Members

We are pleased to announce and welcome our newest members of the Board of Directors.

Mary Jo Fryauff:  Mary Jo has lived in Lake County for 32 years.  She grew up in Cleveland Heights and now lives in Painesville.  Mary Jo has worked for or served on a number of community organizations in Lake County, including the Western Reserve Junior Service League, the Lake County YMCA Central Branch, Birthright of Lake County, and the United Way of Lake County.  Her work with these agencies along with personally being affected by a family member with mental illness has helped her to understand the special needs of those diagnosed with mental illness.  Mary Jo has been a member of the Western Reserve Junior Service League since 1992, is currently a transitional active member and Chair of their Nominating Committee.  Mary Jo is married and has three adult children.

Ivy Alberts:  Ivy Alberts’ extensive experience in the housing industry and personal understanding of the challenges of dealing with mental illness enables her to bring a unique perspective to Extended Housing.  Ivy has worked for over a decade dealing with housing-related issues, first as a Senior Project Manager for the Northeast Ohio Apartment Association and for the past 6 years as the Executive Assistant to the President of Millennium Management, Inc., a company specializing in the management of multi-family housing projects.  Ivy has also personally dealt with the issues of mental illness and homelessness in her own family.  Ivy is a graduate of Euclid High School and has previously served on the Board of the Ohio Hurricanes Fast Pitch Softball Team.  Ivy is married to Chuck and has two children, Jaclyn and Samantha and two grandchildren, Hannah and Zachary.

Michael D. Linn:  Mr. Linn was born and raised in Northeast Ohio.  After graduating from Lorain Catholic High School, he attended Kent State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Political Science with an emphasis in English.  In 1986, Mr. Linn received his Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland Marshall College of Law where he was an editor of the Law Review.  He received the William K. Gardner Award for Outstanding Student in Civil Procedure.

Mr. Linn is licensed to practice law in Ohio and concentrates his practice in the areas of Real Estate Management Law, Fair Housing Law & Litigation and Creditors’ Rights and Collections.

Mr. Linn is an active member in several professional organizations and associations, including the Ohio State Bar Association, Northeast Ohio Apartment Association, Lake Erie Landlord Association, Columbus Apartment Association, Ohio Apartment Association, Institute of Real Estate Management and Cleveland Marshall Law Alumni.
